“Childhood is full of funny stories” - Strolling through the garden of memories with Jang Keu

The book “Childhood is full of funny stories” is the first autobiography of author Jang Keu, founder of the Song Foundation and widely known through community projects such as Flood-proof House, Green Happiness, River, etc., bringing readers back to the clear, loving days of the 8X and 9X generations.

Different from the image of a female leader associated with challenging social projects, in “Childhood is full of funny stories”, readers will meet a mischievous, stubborn girl named Giang (Jang Keu's real name), but also brave, hard-working and full of love.

The book was nurtured for 11 years, starting from the author's scattered stories shared on Facebook, then interrupted, continuing until the end of 2024 to complete. The book is published by Thai Ha Books in association with Literature Publishing House, leading readers into the garden of childhood memories.

“Childhood is full of funny stories” consists of 24 chapters, which are “both funny and sad” memories of childhood in the countryside of Hung Yen : The times of skipping naps, stealing fruits, the “first marketing lesson at the countryside market”...

In each page, readers will encounter enough mischief to make them laugh, poetry from the fields, the dikes, the apples, the kites, life from falling, being punished and getting up, and love from grandmothers, parents, teachers, and nature.

In particular, the author said that all royalties from “Childhood is full of funny stories” will be donated to the project Reo vang binh minh – a project of the Song Fund and pianist Trang Trinh, for children in flood-affected areas.

On the occasion of the book launch, Thai Ha Books cooperated with author Jang Keu to organize a talk show about "Childhood is full of funny stories" at 2:00 p.m. on September 19, at Manzi Art Space (14 Phan Huy Ich, Hanoi ).
