With more than 250 pages, “Grandma Goes on a Trip” takes readers through each journey from North to South, discovering the beauty of the country and awakening the spirit of freedom and courage. A small book but full of positive energy for those who want to live differently, travel far and love Vietnam more every day.

As a well-known expert in the ISO village, the woman in her 60s who calls herself a "grandmother" decided to sell the land she planned to save for her retirement in Nha Trang, and also sell her 10-year-old high-chassis manual transmission car to buy a car more suitable for long-distance travel and start "traveling".

The book is the notes of a "grandmother" on a 37-day journey across Vietnam by self-driving car, with women who share the same hobby of "backpacking".

The journey from Hanoi to Ca Mau, up to Ha Tien, to Phu Quoc and then back along the Cambodia - Laos border, brings readers a sense of relaxation and a deep impression of the grandmother appearing in the book, seeing things that people think a woman in her sixties cannot do.

The work is written in a humorous, positive tone with unique travel stories interwoven with the author's everyday experiences. From there, readers not only feel the vitality and beauty of life, but also find a "cool" lifestyle - helping you stay optimistic and full of energy at any age.

Author Nguyen Thi Minh Ly shared: “I cannot wait for others to love me when I do not know how to love myself. I live not to be recognized but to understand and appreciate myself. I do not wait for luck, I proactively live with passion, with my own temperament and emotions.”

Perhaps a quality life is a life of contentment, action, and love. This book is an admiration for resilience and a promise to accompany those who dare to change for happiness.

On the occasion of the book launch, Canh Cam Books organized an event with the theme "Love yourself enough to have the whole world " to exchange and talk about "Grandma goes backpacking", at 8:30 a.m. on September 27, at the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association (26 Le Trong Tan, Phuong Liet ward, Hanoi).
