Previously, storm No. 10 also caused a landslide at this location, the authorities had just finished fixing it when on the morning of October 7, the landslide continued to occur.

Heavy rain on the night of October 6 and 7 also caused serious landslides on National Highway 15C at Km84+800 through Pu Nhi commune and Km97+540 through Muong Lat commune (in the old Muong Lat highland district). Hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock from the positive slopes spilled onto the road, causing local traffic jams, many vehicles could not move.
