Officers and soldiers of Ten Tan Border Guard Station coordinated with local forces to clear landslides caused by the recent storm No. 5.
Understanding that "rich people make the border strong", the mountain border posts have actively coordinated with local authorities to implement many effective economic development models, thereby contributing to improving people's lives. One of the models that has been bringing practical results is that Pu Nhi Border Post has coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd. to implement the model of "Raising colored chickens" in the area of Pu Nhi and Nhi Son communes.
Immediately after implementing the model, Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd. donated 4,000 breeding chickens and 112 bottles of barn disinfectant to 78 households participating in the project. Along with that, training was organized and instructed to the people on care techniques for the chickens to grow and develop well. For Pu Nhi Border Guard Station, initial food and care tools were provided, and specific tasks were assigned to each party member in charge of the household, to monitor, support, help and advise, helping people to care for and maintain the effectiveness of the "Raising colored-feathered chicken" model. From the initial pilot model, the model has now promoted economic efficiency and is being replicated in many other localities in the area.
Similarly, to help people develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably, Yen Khuong Border Guard Station coordinated with VINACO Thanh Hoa Agricultural Investment and Development Consulting Company Limited to give 3,026 ducklings and 1.1 tons of animal feed to 44 poor households in Yen Khuong commune. Or Na Meo International Border Guard Station developed a two-crop rice cultivation model with a yield of over 50 quintals/ha, an increase of 20 quintals/ha compared to traditional cultivation in 3 Mong ethnic villages: Che Lau, Mua Xuan, Xia Noi; Tam Thanh Border Guard Station signed a cooperation agreement with associations and organizations, such as the Women's Union and Farmers' Association to donate breeding cows; maintained the model of raising native black pigs; a model of growing high-yield cassava and growing cat apple trees in Pu Nhi commune; raising goats and wild boars in Quang Chieu Border Guard Station; raising sturgeon in Bat Mot Border Guard Station...
It can be seen that the strength of the "people's heart belt" not only brings prosperity and happiness to the ethnic people in the border areas of Thanh Hoa but is also nurtured by emulation movements and meaningful and practical work. That is the movement "Border guards join hands to build new countryside" which has been realized with thousands of working days; supporting money and materials to help people build houses, repair roads, and build civil works. The program "Giving breeding cows to help poor households rise up" not only gives breeding cows but also gives confidence and motivation for people to escape poverty sustainably.
In particular, the programs "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers", "Adopted children of border guard stations", "Helping children go to school" have become traditional beauties, strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people. Pots of banh chung and Tet gifts are personally wrapped by soldiers and handed to poor households and policy families in the days before Tet. Orphans and children in difficult circumstances are adopted by border guard stations, taking care of every meal and sleep; supporting books and school supplies for children to go to school... Among them, many units are assessed to have flexible ways of working, suitable to the practical conditions in the locality, such as Border Guard Stations: Tam Chung, Da Loc, Pu Nhi, Ten Tan, Bat Mot, Na Meo International Border Guard Station... Regular medical examination and free medicine distribution programs have alleviated the pain of illness in the mountainous areas with many deprivations. This is also an opportunity to strengthen military-civilian ties, promote solidarity, and join hands to build a strong all-people border defense posture.
Colonel Le Van Nam, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard, said: It can be seen that from the highland villages to the coastal areas, every step of Thanh Hoa border guards is not only to patrol and guard the border but also to leave a deep impression of affection with all classes of people. The soldiers in green uniforms are the solid "bridges", bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies to the people and are also the most trustworthy friends and relatives of the people at the border. That "belt of people's hearts" is the solid wall, protecting the peace of every inch of sacred land at the head of the Fatherland.
