Exchange rate on July 16, 2025: USD slightly increased, CNY decreased

DNVN - The exchange rate movements on July 16 between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY) recorded opposite trends at many commercial banks.

This morning, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank was adjusted up by 20 VND compared to the trading session on July 15, reaching 25,168 VND/USD. With a trading band of ±5% according to current regulations, today's ceiling exchange rate is determined to be 26,426 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate is 23,910 VND/USD. At the State Bank's Transaction Office, the reference exchange rate is currently listed at 23,941 - 26,355 VND/USD (buy - sell).

At 8:30 a.m., in the commercial banking system, Vietcombank and BIDV simultaneously adjusted the increase by 10 VND in both buying and selling directions, bringing the USD exchange rate to 25,960 - 26,320 VND/USD.

As for the Chinese Yuan, Vietcombank has reduced the exchange rate by 2 VND in both directions, down to 3,587 - 3,702 VND/NDT (buy - sell). BIDV has also applied a similar reduction, currently listing the exchange rate of the Chinese Yuan at 3,596 - 3,693 VND/NDT (buy - sell).
