Foreign exchange rates on July 21, 2025: USD and CNY slightly increased again

DNVN - On the morning of July 21, the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and key foreign currencies such as the US Dollar (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY) increased slightly in the banking system.

Specifically, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate this morning at 25,191 VND/USD, an increase of 6 VND compared to July 19. According to the prescribed ±5% band, today's ceiling exchange rate is 26,451 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate is set at 23,931 VND/USD. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office is currently 23,976 VND/USD for buying and 26,394 VND/USD for selling.

At 8:20 this morning, commercial banks such as Vietcombank and BIDV are listing the USD exchange rate at 25,980 - 26,340 VND/USD (buy - sell). Compared to the morning of July 19, Vietcombank adjusted the exchange rate up by 10 VND in both directions, while BIDV did not change the exchange rate.

Regarding the Chinese Yuan, Vietcombank increased 5 VND in both buying and selling, bringing the exchange rate to 3,588 - 3,703 VND/NDT. In the same direction, BIDV increased the exchange rate by 3 VND, listed at 3,596 - 3,694 VND/NDT (buying - selling).
