VUS's educational technology application is recognized by international partners

(Dan Tri) - National Geographic Learning (NGL) publisher awarded a certificate to Vietnam-USA Society English (VUS) in recognition of the application of digital educational technology to exclusive learning materials from NGL, bringing a rich and exciting English learning experience to students.

Since 2021, VUS has cooperated with publisher National Geographic Learning (NGL) to compile the exclusive LOOK curriculum for Super Kids level students (6-11 years old). The curriculum is tailored to Vietnamese children, helping them get familiar with Cambridge exams while fostering the spirit of "learning through discovery" through realistic images, vivid videos and stories about the world around them.

Many international studies have proven the effectiveness of this learning method. Research from the National Training Laboratory (2025) shows that the retention rate of students when learning through videos is 65%, through infographics 70%, through interactive quizzes 75% and through simulations is 80%, while the traditional learning method only reaches 10%.

At the same time, NGL has affirmed that realistic photography and vivid video are ways to open up a rich world in the classroom, making the classroom more lively, while stimulating children's curiosity - a key factor in promoting effective and long-term learning.

Each lesson cleverly incorporates the spirit of discovery, helping children practice language skills while accessing rich knowledge about science, culture and society. Learning English becomes a journey to expand the worldview, nurture curiosity and equip an international mindset.

At the same time, the system of oriented exercises in LOOK helps to develop four skills of listening - speaking - reading - writing synchronously, combining content to help children get familiar with the Cambridge exam format compiled specifically for VUS students. Thanks to that, students are able to practice test-taking skills right in class, strengthen their confidence and be ready to conquer international certificates.

Not only focusing on teaching quality, VUS is also a pioneer in applying modern educational technology to enhance the learning experience. Notably, OVI App - an exclusive application that helps students practice English anytime, anywhere, combined with Discovery Learning and CoreMind Learning methods, providing a solid English foundation and comprehensive development of skills and global thinking.

The special feature of OVI App is that the exercise content is vividly adapted from the LOOK curriculum. Lessons that are associated with images and videos exploring the world in the classroom now become attractive games, challenges and interactive activities, helping children absorb knowledge in an exciting and natural way.

Thanks to the "gamification" method, students are trained in 4 English skills, critical thinking, self-study ability and nurture a lasting love of English, confidently conquer international certificates and broaden their worldview from an early age.

With its pioneering efforts in digitizing learning materials through the application of modern educational technology, VUS was honored by NGL with the certificate of “Pioneering Partner in Digitizing Learning Content”. The certificate awarding ceremony took place solemnly on September 14, within the framework of the Cambridge and IELTS Certificate Awarding and Awarding Ceremony of VUS - an event marking the achievements of the efforts to innovate teaching methods, opening the door for Vietnamese students to access comprehensive, modern and inspiring international standard English education.

During the ceremony, VUS awarded Cambridge and IELTS certificates to 1,730 students, and continued to set a new record with a total of 209,701 students achieving international certificates as of September. This achievement affirms VUS's leading role in innovating teaching methods and applying modern technology, bringing opportunities to access international-standard English education to the young generation of Vietnam.

With this recognition, National Geographic Learning is the third international partner to certify the English teaching of the VUS system. Previously, in February, VUS was recognized by Cambridge University Press and Examinations as a Gold Preparation Center for the 5th consecutive year. Following that, in June, the system continued to be honored by the British Council as a Platinum Partner in the IELTS partnership system for 3 consecutive years (2023-2025).
