VUS 'double win' at Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025

On September 18, the Vietnam-USA Society English Language System - VUS was named in two categories at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025 event.

The Asian Technology Excellence Awards are organized annually by the Asian Business Review to honor the best technology projects and initiatives in the Asian region. In the 2025 season, VUS - Anh Van Hoi Viet My won the "Asia's Outstanding Technology Solution" award in the "Mobile Application" category for the OVI Students and OVI Parents ecosystem and " Education Technology Software" for the OVI IELTS project.

OVI Students & Parents Apps - A seamless learning experience, convenient learning management

In the “Mobile Application” category, VUS was honored with the OVI Students & Parents Apps ecosystem project. This pair of applications was launched on April 1, 2024, receiving positive feedback from both students and parents thanks to its new and lively approach.

The OVI Kids app is built in the form of gamification with an age-friendly interface.

OVI Students application, includes two levels: Kids (6-11 years old) and Teens (11-15 years old). OVI Kids helps children approach English through gamification, with the story setting of "Kingdom in the Clouds" and vivid characters. The content is built closely and seamlessly with the lessons in class in the form of games and interactive tasks to help children stay interested, maintain motivation to practice English while ensuring progress.

With OVI Teens, the app focuses on personalizing the learning journey and supporting students to review skills in the form of challenges specifically for teenagers. The weekly mission system, rewards and leaderboards maintain motivation, while the practice content is more academic and gradually increases in difficulty, creating a solid foundation to conquer international exams.

Data shows that the Stickiness Ratio is stable at 62-65% on OVI Kids and OVI Teens. Additionally, internal data shows that in the 2024-2025 school year, Super Kids students who completed over 75% of their OVI Kids training had a final score nearly 3.5 points higher than the group who completed less than 25%. For Young Leaders, the difference was up to 7 points. The notable improvements focused on Vocabulary, Writing and Grammar skills, affirming the practical effectiveness that OVI brings in improving learning outcomes.

OVI Parents helps parents manage and accompany their children on their English learning journey.

Designed specifically for parents, OVI Parents integrates real-time reports of grades, assignments, certificates, classroom photos, and attendance. With just one account, parents can manage multiple learning profiles, making learning English a fun journey for the whole family.

OVI IELTS - useful IELTS test preparation

In the “Educational Technology Software” category, VUS was honored with the OVI IELTS project - a comprehensive IELTS test preparation platform, designed to meet the needs of personalized test preparation as well as the trend of computer-based testing.

The application integrates more than 20,000 level-differentiated learning activities, allowing students to practice all four skills with real-time progress statistics, automatic feedback and personalized learning paths. In particular, the Virtual Exam Room feature simulates a real exam to help students get familiar with the process, practice a stable mentality, and is supported by AI Scoring Assistant in Speaking and Writing, providing highly accurate results, close to the actual band score.

OVI IELTS is a powerful support tool for IELTS test takers.

More than just a preparation tool, OVI IELTS also creates a connected and motivating learning environment, with features such as Class Messenger and Home-school Connection, helping to connect students - teachers - parents, providing a comprehensive and effective test preparation experience.
