Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee: Conference on Front work in the first quarter of 2024

On April 12, in Thuan Nam district, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee held a conference to review the work of the Front in the first quarter of 2024 with the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts and cities. Comrade Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee chaired the conference.

In the first quarter of 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels effectively and comprehensively implemented the proposed contents and work programs. Notably, the innovation of methods, active application of information technology, digital transformation to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization and people gathering work. The guidance on organizing the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term was urgently prepared, ensuring strictness and compliance with procedures. 61/65 Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards and towns successfully organized the congress. Organizing political activities and launching emulation campaigns to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term, through which the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations at all levels registered to carry out 167 projects and tasks to welcome the congress. Effectively implement the Project to support housing for poor and near-poor households in the period of 2023 - 2025; up to now, the whole province has built 243 houses (worth 100 million VND/house), reaching 24.3% of the Project's target.

At the conference, districts and cities also reported to clarify more about social security work; preparation for the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, including propaganda work before, during and after the congress; personnel work, drafting the Political Report, works to welcome the congress; at the same time, proposed and recommended a number of difficulties and obstacles in implementing the task of digital transformation in the activities of the Front.

Concluding the Conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the first quarter of 2024. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, the local Fronts continue to innovate, be creative, and proactive with the highest determination to complete the tasks in the second quarter. The focus is on preparing well for the organization of the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates at the district level, term 2024-2029, ensuring smoothness, safety, efficiency, development, bringing trust and creating an exciting atmosphere among the people. In addition, it is necessary to promote and diversify propaganda work before, during and after the congress, combining propaganda of major national holidays; focus on collecting broad opinions from the people to contribute to the draft Political Report, especially choosing a congress theme that is suitable to the tradition and development tasks of the locality; Reviewing personnel procedures to ensure no errors, understanding and dedication to the work of the Front; promoting the spirit of creativity and self-management of the People, effectively implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; strongly applying information technology and digital transformation in the activities of the Front from the province to the grassroots; effectively and timely implementing the Housing Support Project for poor and near-poor households in the period of 2023-2025 in the province.
