V-League 2025-2026 enhances VAR

Before the new V-League season, the Organizing Committee confirmed that it will add one more VAR vehicle, bringing the total to 5 qualified VAR vehicles that can be put into official operation.

The Organizing Committee aims to "cover" VAR in all matches in the V-League.

This not only contributes to improving the professional quality, ensuring fairness for matches but also adds professionalism to the V-League. Previously, the quality of VAR was significantly improved, fully displaying images to help the referee team analyze and make legal decisions in the National Super Cup match at Thien Truong Stadium on August 9.

According to the expected schedule, the 2025-2026 V-League season will kick off on August 15. This year's tournament will still have 14 participating teams. Experts say the upcoming championship race and relegation in the V-League will be very dramatic and exciting as teams invest heavily and recruit many good players.

In addition to the increased number of foreign players registered compared to the previous season, this V-League also has an important change in the regulations. Accordingly, the two teams at the bottom of the table will be directly relegated to the First Division next season, without a play-off match.

The Organizing Committee also announced the prize money for the V-League, with the champion team receiving 5 billion VND, the runner-up team receiving 3 billion VND and the third-place team receiving 1.5 billion VND. This is the same prize money as last season.
