Vietnam - Denmark promote people-to-people exchange and cultural promotion

At the reception for Chairman of the Denmark - Vietnam Friendship Association (DAVIFO) Nils Bull on July 3 in Copenhagen, Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Nguyen Le Thanh affirmed that the Embassy will accompany DAVIFO to promote people-to-people exchange and promote Vietnamese culture, towards the 55th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in 2026.

According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark, at the reception, Mr. Nils Bull expressed his honor to be entrusted with the position of Chairman of DAVIFO from April 2025, after many years of active work in the Association's Secretariat.

The President of DAVIFO informed about the outstanding activities that the Association has carried out to promote understanding and cooperation between the people of the two countries over the past half century. In particular, DAVIFO has carried out many effective projects in Vietnam, such as supporting community health in rural and remote areas, caring for women and children - vulnerable groups in society.

In the coming time, DAVIFO aims to continue to effectively implement and expand the scale of community health projects in Vietnam, promote educational exchanges, exchange activities, promote Vietnamese culture and cuisine in Denmark... thereby enhancing understanding and connection between the people of the two countries.

Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh highly appreciated the persistent and practical efforts of DAVIFO, emphasizing that the Association's activities have contributed positively to strengthening the friendship between the two nations. The Ambassador affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark will continue to accompany DAVIFO in implementing people-to-people exchange, cultural and educational activities.

On the occasion of 2026 - when Vietnam and Denmark celebrate the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1971-2026) and the 50th anniversary of establishing DAVIFO, the two sides agreed to closely coordinate to organize meaningful activities, contributing to further deepening the bilateral friendship.
