Vietnam wins big at the Asian Youth Canoe Championship and U23 Championship

On June 16, according to information from the Vietnam Canoe Federation, the Vietnam Canoe Team won big at the Asian Youth and U23 Canoe Championships, winning a total of 12 medals of all kinds (6 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals).

Among the 6 Gold Medals, rower Nguyen Thi Huong, who just won a ticket to the Olympics, also won a Gold Medal in the women's single sculls (C1 500m). Nguyen Thi Huong also contributed to winning the Gold Medal with athlete Nguyen Thi Hong Thai in the women's double sculls at the U23 Asian Championship. Specifically, the 6 Gold Medals of the Vietnam Canoe Team include: Mac Thi Thanh Thuy, Diep Thi Thuy (2 Gold Medals in the U18 women's doubles C2 200m and U18 women's doubles C2 500m); Nguyen Thi Huong and Diep Thi Huong (U23 women's doubles C2 200m); Nguyen Thi Huong and Nguyen Thi Hong Thai (U23 women's doubles C2 500m). The two Gold Medals in the women's singles belonged to Nguyen Thi Huong (U23, C1 500m) and Nguyen Thi Hai Anh (U18, C1 500m).
This achievement has shown the careful preparation of the force and the systematic and scientific training and competition plan of the Vietnam Canoeing Team. The Asian Youth Canoe Championship and U23 Championship took place from June 10-16 in Thailand, with the participation of 18 countries. This achievement of the Vietnam Canoe Team once again proves the ability of Vietnam's strong sport in international arenas and needs to continue to be invested in the right direction.
