Vietnam - China cooperate in tourism, investment, promote friendly exchanges

On September 21 in Beijing (China), the Vietnam - China Tourism and Investment Promotion Forum and Friendship Exchange Festival took place, with the participation of nearly 300 delegates from the two countries.

The program is organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in China in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the China-ASEAN Center (ACC) and the China Import-Export Chamber of Commerce for Electromechanical Products.

According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in China, at the Forum, leaders of Tay Ninh, Nghe An and Quang Tri provinces introduced the investment and tourism environment, proposed cooperation contents, and many businesses from both sides exchanged and signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation.

The friendship exchange festival on the same day introduced many unique cultural and artistic performances performed by Vietnamese artists and the Chinese Foreign Cultural Corporation: Chau Van performance "Co Doi Thuong Ngan", Southern amateur music "Da Co Hoai Lang", Xuyen Kich art (face-changing), performances of traditional musical instruments and fashion shows by Vietnamese and Chinese designers.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh said that the series of cultural exchange activities, promoting investment cooperation and tourism development between Vietnam and China is a meaningful event within the framework of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025. Implementing the common perception of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries on deepening and enhancing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance in the direction of "6 more", economic and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China has been actively implemented in recent times, continuing to achieve impressive results.

According to the Ambassador, Vietnam has issued many resolutions and policies on breakthroughs in science and technology development and national digital transformation, private economic development; innovation in law making and enforcement; continued to deepen international integration, providing a legal framework and strategic orientation, promoting institutional improvement, unlocking resources and promoting innovation. The Ambassador also highlighted the favorable conditions and unique strengths of Tay Ninh, Quang Tri and Nghe An provinces in attracting and implementing investment activities and promoting tourism. In the coming time, the Vietnamese Embassy in China is committed to accompanying and effectively supporting cooperation activities, creating favorable conditions for exchanges between localities and businesses of the two countries.

ACC Secretary General Shi Zhongjun assessed that Vietnam-China cooperation is an important model and driving force for China-ASEAN cooperation. The two sides have achieved practical results in cooperation in many fields and enhanced cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties through cultural performances, the establishment of sister cities, youth exchanges and economic and trade connections. He suggested that in the coming time, the two sides should continue to deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation, and strengthen extensive cooperation in areas such as green economy, digital economy, cross-border tourism, business environment optimization and cooperation mechanisms.

Chairman of the China Electronic Products Import and Export Chamber of Commerce Truong Ngoc Tinh emphasized the remarkable achievements in economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China, in which mechanical and electronic products play an important role in bilateral trade. As a bridge, Mr. Truong Ngoc Tinh said that the Chamber of Commerce will strengthen cooperation with the Vietnamese Embassy in China and relevant business associations, actively promote cooperation between enterprises of the two countries, especially in key areas, increase information sharing on economic and trade policies, investment needs and opportunities, and provide high-quality services to enterprises of the two countries.
