Vietnam Airlines and Khanh Hoa province sign comprehensive cooperation for the 2026-2030 period

On July 25, Vietnam Airlines Corporation and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province signed a Memorandum of Understanding on comprehensive cooperation for the 2026-2030 period, aiming to strengthen coordination in tourism and aviation development and investment and trade promotion.

The signing ceremony took place with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung; leaders of Khanh Hoa province and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

This cooperation agreement is built on the foundation of positive results in the previous period. Despite facing many fluctuations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam Airlines still plays a role in accompanying Khanh Hoa in tourism promotion, connecting international markets and promoting the local image on the airline's media channels. The opening of the Nha Trang - Busan international route in 2025 is one of the clear evidences, demonstrating the efforts to connect and restore tourism in the South Central region in general and Khanh Hoa in particular in Vietnam Airlines' strategic flight network.

On that basis, the Memorandum of Understanding for the 2026 - 2030 period was signed by both sides, aiming to strengthen cooperation in the fields of aviation - tourism - trade - investment, towards a sustainable linkage model between national enterprises and key localities.

Vietnam Airlines will promote Khanh Hoa's image on the airline's media ecosystem.

According to the agreement, Vietnam Airlines will promote Khanh Hoa's image on the airline's media ecosystem such as Heritage Magazine, videos, in-flight entertainment system, Lotus lounge and the system of Vietnam Airlines' representative offices, agents, and domestic and foreign travel companies. The airline will also coordinate with the province to organize Famtrips, Presstrips, and national tourism-aviation events every two years.

At the same time, Vietnam Airlines will implement preferential ticket price policies, support transportation for local working delegations, as well as integrate the province's tourism products and services into the ecosystem serving domestic and international passengers.

The national airline will accompany Khanh Hoa province in communications work, taking on the role of the official carrier at major events hosted by the locality. At the same time, Vietnam Airlines will integrate Khanh Hoa's cultural, culinary and tourism products into the airline's service ecosystem such as lounges, meals, points of sale and communication activities aimed at passengers.

In particular, Khanh Hoa's expansion of administrative space after merging with Ninh Thuan province has created more room for developing flight routes, destination chains and strengthening regional connectivity. In that context, Vietnam Airlines' central connecting role is further promoted, helping the locality expand its market, attract investment and integrate deeply with the region and the world.

With global connectivity and a synchronous service ecosystem, Vietnam Airlines continues to accompany Khanh Hoa on the journey to promote regional economic and tourism development, towards the goal of green growth, international integration and enhancing the position of Vietnamese tourism on the regional map.
