VN-Index plummets, selling pressure spreads

The stock market on October 7 recorded a negative performance when the VN-Index decreased by 10.2 points (-0.6%), down to 1,685.3 points, due to pressure from large-cap stocks. However, liquidity remained high, showing that money has not yet withdrawn from the market.

Market liquidity decreased compared to the previous session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 1,018 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND28,534 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on all 3 floors more than 1,376 billion VND, focusing on codes STB (218.41 billion VND), VRE (197.49 billion VND),SHB (173.65 billion VND), SSI (169.16 billion VND), VHM (159.69 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net purchases in this session included HPG (258.54 billion VND), GEX (92.84 billion VND), FPT (79.23 billion VND),ACB (32.26 billion VND), NLG (31.19 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 22,963 billion.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by 4.54 points included: VPL, LPB, VHM, VIC, SSI, FRT, MWG, VND, CTD, PNJ.

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 6.49 points included: CTG, MBB, VPB, TCB, BSR , VCB, STB, VNM, ACB, BID.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks leaned towards red, down 0.05%, mainly from codes CMG, ELC, ITD, HPT, CMT... The only code that increased was SBD.

The group of securities stocks performed negatively, down 0.5%, mainly from codes VIX, VIC, SHS, MBS, HCM, FTS, BSI, DSE... On the contrary, the codes that increased included SSI, VND, FUEVFVND, CTS, VDS...

This session, the majority of banking stocks were red, down 1.03%, mainly from VCB, BID, CTG, TCB, VPB, MBB, ACB, STB, HDB... The few codes that increased included LPB, ABB, BAB, VBB...

The real estate stock group this session recorded a decrease of 0.05%, mainly from codes BCH, KDH, KBC, NVL, PDR, DXG, SJS, VPI... On the contrary, the codes that increased included VIC, VHM, SSH, KSF...

Energy stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 1.75%, mainly from codes BSR, PLX, PVS, PVD, PVT, VTO... Some codes increased including MVB, PVP, TD6, AAH, COM, NBC...

The group of raw material stocks this session recorded a decrease of 0.58%, mainly from codes HPG, GVR, MSR, DCM, DPM, HSG, NTP... On the contrary, the codes that increased included DGC, KSV, HGM, VIF, ACG...

Insurance stocks this session were mostly red, down 1.17%, mainly from codes BVH, PVI, MIG, BIC, BMI, PGI... Some codes increased including PRE, AIC...

Retail stocks this session leaned towards green, up 0.45%, mainly from codes MWG, PNJ, FRT, TLP, SVC, VVS... On the contrary, codes that decreased included HUT, DGW, HHS, PET, HTM...

* The Vietnamese stock market index closed in the green today, VNXALL-Index closed down 22.52 points (-0.77%), stopping at 2,908.5 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 914.81 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 27,218.99 billion. In the whole market, there were 89 stocks increasing in price, 80 stocks remaining unchanged and 277 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 272.87 points, down 1.82 points (-0.66%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 107.53 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND2,492.95 billion. In the whole market, 42 stocks increased in price, 61 stocks remained unchanged and 104 stocks decreased in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 10.29 points (-1.73%) to 585.57 points. Trading volume reached over 80.8 million units, equivalent to over VND2,158.46 billion. In the whole market, there were 0 stocks increasing in price, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 27 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 110.24 points, up 1.08 points (+0.99%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 30.9 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 415.31 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 140 stocks increasing in price, 89 stocks remaining unchanged and 97 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 10.2 points (-0.6%), down to 1,685.3 points. Liquidity reached over 879.95 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND25,626.02 billion. The entire floor had 77 stocks increasing, 48 stocks remaining unchanged, and 247 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 9.32 points (-0.49%) and stopped at 1,909.65 points. Liquidity reached more than 394.7 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of more than VND 14,283.62 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 7 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 21 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SSI (more than 40.54 million units), VND (more than 38.61 million units), MWG (more than 7.19 million units), VHM (more than 6.42 million units), CTS (more than 3.53 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are JVC (+6.94%), VPL (+6.91%), COM (+6.45%), S4A (+5.51%), SVC (+5%).
