Navy Region 4: Opening acupuncture training class at Treatment Team 486

On October 7, the Naval Region 4 Command held the opening ceremony of the "Basic Acupuncture" training course at Treatment Team 486. Colonel Nguyen Vinh Nam - Deputy Commander of the Region attended the ceremony.

The training course lasts for 6 months. The trainees are trained by leaders and doctors of the Central Acupuncture Hospital in the following contents: Basic theory of Traditional Medicine: theory of yin and yang, five elements, meridians, internal organs, meridians and acupoints; acupuncture techniques; acupuncture methods; application of acupuncture in the treatment of neck and shoulder pain, back pain, sciatica, headache, insomnia, periarthritis of the shoulder, osteoarthritis, paralysis...

After the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thanh - Director of the Central Acupuncture Hospital taught and examined patients at Treatment Team 486.

The training program contributes to improving the expertise and professionalism of the medical staff at the grassroots level of Naval Region 4; opening up opportunities for sustainable and extensive cooperation between the Naval Region 4 Command and the Central Acupuncture Hospital in the coming time, in line with the policy of combining military and civilian medicine and the need to ensure the health of the forces on duty in strategic areas.
