A workshop is simply understood as a session or series of activities, where participants will exchange, discuss, and share about a certain topic. Unlike traditional theoretical classes, workshops emphasize practice, creativity, and interaction.
In Thai Nguyen , many groups of young people and individuals with artistic talents and life skills have organized small but creative workshops, from painting, flower arrangement, mixing drinks, pottery making to soft skills such as presentation and communication.
These activities usually take place on weekends, last about 2-3 hours and create a space that is both intimate and interesting for participants to freely experience.
The beginning of the workshop trend in Thai Nguyen was probably painting classes.
Ms. Nguyen Ha My, in Phan Dinh Phung ward, who specializes in organizing painting workshops, shared: At first, I just wanted to create a small space for those who love drawing to have a place to gather. Unexpectedly, the number of registrations increased, from students to working people. They came not to become artists, but to relax and be creative in a busy life. The painting workshops not only teach basic skills in composition and color mixing, but also help each person bring home a complete painting of their own.
With the advantage of not needing too much investment capital, just from a few tens of millions you can open a workshop, so the workshop business model is chosen by many young people to start a business.
Ms. Chu Hoang Thao, in Linh Son ward, said: When I shared my flower arrangements and towers on social networks, many people loved them and asked to learn how to make their own works. Therefore, I decided to organize workshops. People come not only to learn and practice but also to interact and connect with each other, so the atmosphere is always lively.
In fact, workshops in Thai Nguyen are mainly creative activities such as: drawing, pottery, flower arrangement, baking, tower worship... The common point of the workshops is that they are moderate in scale, the number of participants ranges from 10 to 20 people, the atmosphere is friendly, the cost is reasonable and suitable for many different audiences. This makes workshops a popular choice, both for entertainment and for learning.
At a workshop, tools and materials are prepared in advance for participants to freely choose and experience. |
Nguyen Minh Ngoc, a student at the University of Science (Thai Nguyen University), said: The experiences at the workshop are very different from studying in class. The atmosphere there is fun, everyone is eager to try new things, and at the same time make more friends with similar interests.
Many young people after participating in the workshop have found their passion and pursued it further, some turned it into a job, some considered it a life skill. But in general, the workshop opened up a close-knit community, where people with similar interests find a common voice, support each other and spread positive energy.
In the age of social networks, beautiful images and creative products from workshops are quickly shared, contributing to creating attraction and encouraging many others to participate.
It can be said that the workshop trend in Thai Nguyen, although new, is proving to be very attractive. This shows the interest of young people in learning and experiencing, instead of just stopping at the simple need for entertainment.
The workshop is both a miniature classroom, a cultural and artistic space, and a bridge to the community. With a creative spirit, a desire to explore and connect, young people in Thai Nguyen are contributing to turning the workshop into a positive and sustainable cultural trend, promising to develop strongly in the near future.
