Thai Nguyen continues to implement the plan to improve the PCI index by 2025

The People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province has just issued a document directing departments, branches, localities and business associations to continue implementing Plan No. 24/KH-UBND on improving the investment and business environment and enhancing the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) by 2025.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested heads of departments, branches, sectors, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on promoting administrative reform, removing barriers to investment and business activities; increasing contact and dialogue to promptly grasp and support businesses. Units must attach responsibility in implementing 142 indicators of 10 PCI component indexes, striving to put Thai Nguyen in the group of localities with the best economic management quality in the country.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to focus on resolving enterprises' petitions and improving the effectiveness of credit support for production and business, especially in priority areas. At the same time, resolutely handle officials and civil servants who harass and cause trouble, to ensure a transparent and friendly administrative environment.

The Provincial People's Committee requested that Associations and Business Associations closely coordinate with functional agencies in propagating and mobilizing enterprises to participate in the PCI survey with an objective and honest spirit, contributing to improving the image and competitiveness of the province.
