Cam Van Commune: Strong breakthrough - Reaching new heights

Cam Van commune is currently established on the basis of the arrangement of the status quo from 4 communes: Cam Van, Cam Yen, Cam Chau and Cam Tam. During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people of the old communes have promoted the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, initiative, creativity, taking advantage of opportunities and advantages, overcoming difficulties and challenges, successfully implementing the goals and tasks set out in the congress resolution, creating an important premise for the new Cam Van commune to achieve many important achievements in all fields.

In particular, the economy has developed quite well, agricultural, forestry and fishery production has developed towards improving quality and efficiency. In the commune, many models of forestry economic development, fruit tree planting, and honey beekeeping have been formed, developing stably and bringing in high income. Industry and commercial services have developed, contributing to the economic restructuring. The value of industry, construction and transportation is 140.89 billion VND, accounting for 27% of the economic structure.

The quality of cultural, information and propaganda activities has been increasingly improved with a variety of contents and forms. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been increasingly developed, contributing to building a healthy cultural environment and improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people. The titles of cultural villages, hamlets and cultural families have been increasing. Currently, the commune has 21/21 hamlets and 10/10 schools meeting the criteria of cultural units; the rate of cultural families every year always meets and exceeds the set targets.

The education sector is increasingly developing in the direction of standardization and socialization. The scale of schools and classes remains stable, the quality of comprehensive education has changed, the quality of key education has gradually increased over the years. The rate of universal education reached 100%, in which 5-year-old preschool children attending class reached 100%; universal primary and secondary education reached level 3. Currently, the commune has 10/10 schools recognized as meeting national standards (of which 2 schools meet level 2 standards), reaching 100% compared to the resolution's target.

Poverty reduction and job creation have received attention, social security and people's lives have been improved. The commune's annual poverty reduction rate has always met and exceeded the assigned target. During the 2020-2025 term, the commune has reviewed and supported the construction of 54 new houses for policy households, poor households, and households with housing difficulties. Vocational training and job creation have received attention. Social security policies and policies for people with meritorious services have been fully and promptly implemented. The average health insurance coverage rate in the 2020-2025 period reached more than 90%.

During the term, the old Cam Van commune continued to consolidate and improve the NTM criteria after being recognized; Cam Yen, Cam Tam and Cam Chau communes all completed the goal of building a NTM commune 2 years ahead of schedule. After being recognized, the communes focused on maintaining and improving the NTM criteria, restructuring the agricultural sector associated with developing OCOP products. Currently, the commune has 2 products: Huong Dieu Son leaf cake and Quyet Chau silk sausage recognized as 3-star OCOP products.

These achievements are vivid evidence of the correct policy of the Commune Party Committee with creative and practical decisions, bringing practical benefits to the people. Along with that is the close attention and flexible direction of the authorities at all levels, and above all, the consensus and joint efforts of the people. This is a fundamental change, creating a solid momentum for the commune on the journey of rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development in the new period.

Determined to create a new breakthrough

In the 2025-2030 term, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development", the Commune Party Committee is focusing its efforts on a number of specific tasks, namely: Focusing on reviewing and building socio-economic development plans at the commune level, ensuring synchronous and connected planning, creating space for long-term development. Focusing on economic development in the direction of effectively exploiting post-merger potential, promoting the development of commodity agriculture, trade - services and mobilizing diverse resources for socio-economic infrastructure development. Continuing to synchronously implement solutions to improve the quality of education - training, quality of human resources. Promoting poverty reduction, job creation, ensuring social security, improving people's lives. Strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system comprehensively, synchronously and effectively, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

During the 2025-2030 term, the Commune Party Committee has proposed three key programs, namely: Agricultural development program associated with new rural construction; Program to increase investment in resources for education and training development; Program to continue improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, focusing on improving the quality of Party cell activities. The Commune Party Committee has also identified two breakthroughs, namely: Strengthening discipline and administrative discipline, building a team of cadres and civil servants with qualities and capacities, regularly training and updating knowledge and skills in science and technology, digital transformation; meeting the requirements of administrative reform and serving the people; focusing on and mobilizing all resources, attracting investment in building a synchronous infrastructure system with a number of key projects on the traffic system suitable to the characteristics of the new administrative unit.

Along with that, the Commune Party Committee has set 11 economic targets, 8 socio-cultural targets, 3 environmental targets, 2 targets on Party building, building the political system... Specifically, the average annual growth rate of total product value in the commune is 7%. By 2030, the average income per capita/year is 62 million VND. The poverty rate decreases by an average of 1% annually. The rate of residential areas meeting safety standards on security and order annually reaches over 85%...

To achieve the goals, directions and tasks, the Party Committee of the commune has proposed solutions for each target and each specific task. Regarding economic development, it focuses on reviewing and building socio-economic development plans in the direction of effectively exploiting post-merger potential, promoting the development of commodity agriculture, trade and services and mobilizing diverse resources to invest in developing modern infrastructure systems, ensuring synchronous and connected planning, creating space for long-term development.

Regarding culture - society, ensuring national defense - security, digital transformation, continuing to synchronously implement solutions to improve the quality of education - training, and human resource quality. Focus on developing high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the operations of agencies in the political system; improving the effectiveness of national governance, the effectiveness of State management in all fields, ensuring national defense.

Regarding the work of building the Party and the political system, strengthen the building and rectification of the Party and the political system comprehensively, synchronously and effectively, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period. Continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, promote patriotic emulation movements, and be determined to successfully implement the congress resolution.
