His success not only brings stable income to his family but also opens up a new direction in developing the local rural economy .

Cat Tien 2 Commune is a remote area of Lam Dong province, people's lives are still difficult, mainly relying on traditional agricultural production. In 2022, Cat Tien district (old) implemented the Dairy Cow Development Project, Mr. Tran Huy Rin boldly registered to participate.
Mr. Rin is one of the first four households to import dairy cows to raise from the end of 2022. To prepare for the new step, he did not hesitate to travel far, to find advanced farming models in Don Duong district (old), Cu Chi ( Ho Chi Minh City) and TH farm in Nghe An to learn. At the same time, he actively participated in training courses, learned about techniques, and accessed support capital from policy banks and farmer support funds.

With the determination to start a business, he initially invested nearly 2.1 billion VND to build a 400m² barn, plant 2 hectares of grass, buy machinery and stockpile food. Of that, 700 million VND was his own capital, the rest was preferential loans and external credit. That boldness was the beginning of a challenging journey of starting a business.
On December 20, 2022, Mr. Rin imported 30 dairy cows from TH Nghe An farm. With careful care, disease prevention and compliance with technical procedures, the herd of cows grew quickly and healthily. After nearly a year, the total herd increased to 58 cows, of which 25 were milk cows.

On average, each cow gives about 25 liters of milk per day, bringing in a stable income. After deducting expenses, his family earns a profit of 80-90 million VND per month - an impressive figure for a farming household in a remote area.
Being a pioneer is always difficult, but thanks to the support of the district leaders and my own efforts, I believe that dairy farming will become a sustainable direction for local youth and farmers.
Young man Tran Huy Rin shares

Up to now, he is maintaining a herd of 47 dairy cows, of which 35 are milking with a stable output of 700 kg/day. Notably, he has signed a contract with Da Lat Milk Joint Stock Company, with a purchase price of 15,000 VND/kg and an additional bonus of 1,000 VND/kg at the end of the year depending on quality. Thanks to that, after only 2 years, he has paid off all the debt for buying breeding cows, gradually recovering the investment capital.

Not only focusing on his own economic development, Mr. Rin also actively shares his experiences and provides technical support to other households. Many farmers in Cat Tien 2 commune have boldly participated in dairy farming, expanding the scale of their herds, and gradually forming concentrated farming areas.
The success of this model is contributing to creating jobs, increasing income and sustainably reducing poverty for the people. From a young man who dares to think and dares to do, Tran Huy Rin has affirmed the pioneering role of youth in the development of agricultural economy.
He was also recognized with many certificates of merit from district to provincial levels, typically: Certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cat Tien district (old) for exemplary households in implementing the Project on developing dairy farming in the period 2022 - 2025; Certificate of merit from the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Cat Tien district (old) for exemplary youth in economic development; Certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province for achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in 2022... Those awards are encouragement and also proof of his tireless efforts.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Lich, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cat Tien 2 Commune, shared that Tran Huy Rin's start-up story is not only a journey of economic development, but also an inspiration for many rural youths. With determination, daring to take risks, and the support of the government, he has proven that right in his homeland, young people can still start a business and get rich legitimately.
More and more households in Cat Tien 2 commune are interested in, learning, and gradually participating in the dairy farming project. This is a positive signal, showing that this model not only brings economic benefits, but also contributes to changing production thinking, towards modern and sustainable agriculture.
From an ordinary young man, Tran Huy Rin has become a typical example of progress and a pioneer in rural economic development. His story is a clear demonstration of the spirit of “dare to think, dare to do”, affirming the role and position of young people in building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
