Building Dak Lak women with knowledge, courage and confidence

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025), reporters of Dak Lak Newspaper and Radio and Television had an interview with the Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Kim Thoa Adrông about the work of the Union and the women's movement.

♦ This year's 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union coincides with many important political events in the country and the province. Could you tell us what commemorative activities the Provincial Women's Union has carried out?

The 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union is an opportunity for us to look back on the glorious journey of the organization and be proud of the great role of women in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. With that tradition, over the past time, the Dak Lak Women's Union has constantly strived to innovate its content and methods of operation, gradually affirming its position as an organization representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women.

Since the beginning of the year, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has enthusiastically organized the 2025 Emulation Launch Ceremony and activities in response to the Emulation Campaign "115 works and tasks for a green - clean - beautiful Dak Lak" to achieve achievements in celebration of major local and national holidays, to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030; actively organized many meaningful and practical activities in response to "Ao Dai Week", to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8), 1,985 years of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, 50 years of the Liberation of the South and national reunification. The work of ensuring social security, visiting and showing gratitude to Union officials through the periods continues to be of interest to all levels of the Women's Union, promptly taking care of the lives and encouraging the spirit of women of all classes...

♦ What are the outstanding results of the Women's Union and women's movement in the whole province in recent times, madam?

One of the outstanding activities of the Provincial Women's Union at all levels is to support women in comprehensive development, focusing on supporting capital and livelihoods for women to develop the economy. In the past 9 months, the Union has provided start-up capital to 72 members with an amount of over 1 billion VND; presented 2 sewing machines to members of the model "Safe, green - clean - beautiful, and unique ethnic minority women's family". Tuy Hoa Ward Women's Union established the "Supporting Women in Start-up" Club with 25 members to support women in business, improve product quality and brand, connect product consumption, increase income, stabilize life...

In particular, after implementing the two-level local government, the Association system was improved, overlapping tasks were reduced, and unity in direction and administration from the province to the grassroots level was enhanced; the Association's operational efficiency was improved, the movement became more and more in-depth, better meeting the requirements of local political tasks and the legitimate needs of members and women.

l♦ Madam, what solutions and activities will the Provincial Women's Union focus on to promote the role of the Provincial Women's Union in the new situation?

In the new situation, the Women's Union at all levels continues to promote and innovate propaganda and education work to raise awareness in the whole society about the role of women in the revolutionary cause of the nation, the happiness of each family and gender equality. At the same time, women themselves constantly strive, rise up, and practice the moral qualities of Vietnamese women in the new period: "Confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility". Organize and effectively implement emulation movements, closely following the tasks of the Party, the State and the Union; create breakthroughs in programs and activities towards caring for the legitimate rights of members and women.

The Provincial Women's Union is determined to continue to strongly innovate, improve the quality of the organization and staff, and build Dak Lak women in the integration period with knowledge, courage, confidence and aspirations to rise up.
