After the merger, the whole province has 65 communes and wards, of which many new communes were formed from 2-3 old communes, leading to differences in infrastructure and criteria for building new rural areas. Immediately after the merger, the review, re-evaluation of the current situation, and planning for building new rural areas were implemented by all levels and sectors in the province, close to the reality of each locality.

Mr. Hoang Dang Dung, Head of the Rural Development Department, Department of Agriculture and Environment, said: In order for the new rural construction program to not be interrupted, the department has advised the department to issue a document on promoting the implementation of the national target program on new rural construction on August 28, 2025. In particular, it is recommended that the People's Committees of communes continue to review the criteria and assess the current status of new rural construction according to the levels of the set of criteria for new rural communes in the period of 2021 - 2025; continue to maintain and implement the criteria under the responsibility of the Party Committee, local authorities and people, and at the same time promote the disbursement of capital sources under the program.

Implementing the instructions and directives of the superiors, the People's Committees of the communes have actively implemented the program. Mr. Ha Vu Khoi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cai Kinh commune, said: Immediately after the merger, the commune quickly stabilized and consolidated its organizational apparatus to start implementing political tasks and socio-economic development, including building new rural areas. Accordingly, the commune assigned officials in charge to review the new rural criteria. Through the review, the commune achieved 15/19 new rural criteria. At the same time, the commune developed a plan to implement the program, including mobilizing resources to maintain the achieved criteria. For the unachieved criteria including: traffic, school, environment and food safety, political system and access to law, national defense and security, the commune developed a roadmap and mobilized resources to implement criteria related to infrastructure and perfect the political system; Propaganda, guidance, and mobilization of people to participate in environmental protection... strive by 2030, the commune will complete the criteria and bring Cai Kinh commune to meet the new rural standards.

Along with Cai Kinh commune, Diem He commune has been actively promoting the implementation of the new rural construction program. Accordingly, immediately after the merger, the People's Committee of the commune established the Steering Committee for the National Target Programs of the commune, reviewed the new rural criteria, developed a plan for implementation, the goal for 2025 is to maintain the construction of new rural areas in the area. Through the review, the commune achieved 19/19 new rural criteria, currently, the People's Committee of the commune continues to maintain the criteria by propagating and guiding people to focus on developing production models, increasing income, participating in environmental protection...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Man, Khun Pau village, Diem He commune said: In 2017, I converted 4 sao of land growing corn and rice with low efficiency to growing vegetables of all kinds, according to the season such as spinach, Malabar spinach, lettuce, perilla... During the process of growing and caring for vegetables, I participated in training courses on transferring science and technology organized by the commune, and at the same time learned more on the Internet. Thanks to that, the family's vegetable growing area has developed well, on average, each year, I sell 6 tons of vegetables of all kinds to the market. In parallel with growing vegetables, I also grow 4 sao of guava and 10,000 pineapple trees, each year the output of pineapple and guava is about 4 tons. From growing vegetables and fruit trees, each year, my family earns about 200 million VND after deducting expenses. Currently, with the propaganda of village and commune officials, my family is still actively developing the household economy , contributing to maintaining and implementing the new rural criteria in the commune.

Not only the two communes mentioned above, up to now, the communes have completed the review of criteria, the results, each commune has achieved an average of 10.93 criteria. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole province has disbursed over 102 billion VND of development investment capital, 6.7 billion VND of public service capital to implement the contents of building new rural areas. In parallel with the review and assessment of the current status of building new rural areas, at this time, the communes in the province have been and are continuing to pay attention to implementing new rural criteria, especially the criteria under the responsibility of Party committees, grassroots authorities and communities, people such as: environmental criteria, production development, income, poverty reduction... striving by the end of 2030, the whole province has 37/61 communes meeting new rural standards.

With the determination of the professional sector, local authorities and people, the post-merger new rural construction program is continuing to promote, unleashing potential, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of sustainable rural development.
