Tanker truck fire in gas station, three people burned

Tuyen Quang On the afternoon of December 28, a tanker truck was unloading goods at Binh Xa gas station, Ham Yen district, when it caught fire, causing burns to the driver and two gas station employees.

A witness said the fire started from the pump and quickly engulfed the entire tanker, spreading to a nearby gas station. The fire created a column of flames dozens of meters high, accompanied by black smoke, explosions and an unpleasant smell.

Two fire trucks and 20 firefighters from Tuyen Quang city (40 km away) were mobilized to put out the fire. After 30 minutes of arriving, the authorities extinguished the fire.

At the scene, the tanker was burned to the frame. The fuel tank area was not affected. The glass of a nearby store was shattered by the heat.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
