The incident occurred on the evening of September 4. Immediately after receiving the information, Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with relevant units to inspect the scene.

According to security cameras, at 5:16 p.m. on September 4, Mr. Nguyen Duc T. drove a tractor trailer, pulling two dolly (cargo vehicle - PV) with license plates HAN3-28-1489 and HAN3-28-1589 on the public road of passenger terminal T2 from baggage island number 3 to position number 15 in the direction from East to West.

At 5:18 p.m., the tractor trailer was moving parallel to the pier of passenger bridge No. 20 when the cargo truck with license plate HAN3-28-1589 lost its connecting pin and drifted due to inertia, resulting in a collision with the front of the A321 aircraft, which was preparing to take off on flight JX718 from Hanoi to Taiwan (China), scheduled to take off at 5:45 p.m.

The collision caused scratches and a slight dent in the front door of the plane. Starlux Airlines temporarily stopped operations for inspection. By 8:42 p.m. the same day, the plane had been repaired and the crew continued the flight safely.
