Container truck crashed into a car, causing two deaths

On the morning of June 24, the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport said that a traffic accident on the Nha Trang - Cam Lam highway, through Cam Ranh City, between a car and a container truck left 2 people dead and 3 injured.

Earlier, early the same morning, driver Nguyen Tan Duy drove a 5-seat car carrying Mr. NTT, NVT and another young man on the Nha Trang - Cam Lam highway, heading from North to South.

While passing through Cam Phuoc Dong commune, Cam Ranh city, the car was hit from behind by a container truck driven by Nguyen Van Hanh, carrying two other people traveling in the same direction.

The accident caused the car to be deformed. Mr. NTT and NVT in the car died; 3 other people in the two cars were injured and taken to Cam Ranh General Hospital for emergency treatment, of which 2 victims were seriously injured and had to be transferred to the Provincial General Hospital.

According to the Department of Transport, after the incident, traffic police examined the scene, measured the alcohol concentration of the container truck driver and determined that this person did not exceed the alcohol concentration limit.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
