Man narrowly escapes death thanks to bravery of railway staff

Information from the Traffic Police Department on the afternoon of September 21 said that at 0:03 a.m. the same day, when passenger train SE6 was about to cross the railway level crossing at Km 924+430 (in Son Tinh commune - Quang Ngai), Dai Loc - Quang Ngai section, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line, two gatekeepers of Nghia Binh Railway Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang and Mr. Nguyen Son Oanh, were performing the procedure of completely closing the barrier, waiting for the train to pass when suddenly a man (unknown background) driving a motorbike with license plate 76D1 - 096.53 from East to West, did not pay attention and crashed head-on into the barrier on the left side of the railway, causing the person and motorbike to fly into the middle of the railway.

When he discovered the incident, even though he knew the train was approaching very close and could endanger his life, Nguyen Son Oanh still ignored the danger, selflessly rushed in to pull the man off the railway, saving him just a few short seconds before the train arrived.

Even more impressive and touching, when the locomotive's dash cam recorded, the time from the moment the traffic controller hit the barrier and flew out onto the road until the train passed was only about 3-4 short seconds. That means Mr. Oanh's brave act of saving people was only counted in seconds. The lucky man who was saved by Mr. Oanh was immediately sent by the SE6 train crew to take him to the emergency room.

The accident caused train SE6 to stop for nearly 30 minutes and the motorbike of the traffic participant was severely damaged.
