U.23 Vietnam is about to start

In just a few days, the Southeast Asian U.23 Football Championship will officially kick off with the participation of the Vietnam U.23 team (led by coach Kim Sang-sik) andFPT Play will be the exclusive broadcaster of the tournament matches in Vietnam.

The tournament will be held from July 15 to July 29, 2025 in Indonesia, bringing together 10 U.23 teams in the region. The Vietnam U.23 team, as the defending champion, continues its journey to defend the title. This is the 5th time the tournament is organized by the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF), with matches taking place at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta) and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium (Bekasi).

Group stage schedule

This year's tournament is not only an opportunity for the U.23 Vietnam team to successfully defend the championship, but also an important test for the teams in the region, helping them prepare for upcoming important tournaments such as the AFC U.23 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2026 qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games. Placed in Group B with Cambodia and Laos, the U.23 Vietnam team has a great chance of finishing first in the group.

The group stage matches of the Vietnam U23 team will take place on July 19 against Laos U23 and on July 22 against Cambodia U23. Coach Kim Sang-sik will announce the final list of 23 players before the tournament begins. The semi-finals and finals will be held on July 25 and 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, one of the most famous stadiums in Indonesia.
