High-tech healthcare impresses Asian hospital leaders

'Modern facilities, professional operating procedures', is the general comment of many experts when visiting Gia An 115 Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.

Recently, in the Hospital Tour program on the sidelines of HMA 2025, nearly 80 international experts from leading research institutes, hospitals in Asia and reputable medical solution providers visited Gia An 115 Hospital. Also attending was Dr. Duong Huy Luong, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health .

Here, the delegation visited a number of key departments such as Internal Cardiology - Interventional Cardiology, Emergency, Diagnostic Imaging - Functional Testing... During the visit, the delegation paid special attention to the system of modern equipment applied in examination, diagnosis and treatment, typically the SOMATOM Force VB30 machine - one of the most advanced CT devices today.

The machine produces ultra-thin slices of only 0.4 mm, reproducing more than 100,000 detailed image slices of blood vessels, organs and soft tissues. Dual Energy technology helps to clearly analyze the nature of the damage - healthy tissue, inflammatory tissue, malignant cells - supporting doctors to make accurate diagnoses and develop optimal treatment regimens. In particular, in cardiac imaging, the machine produces sharp images even when the patient has a rapid heart rate or arrhythmia... Many visiting delegates highly appreciated the modernity, optimal operation and practical application of this device.

Delegates also expressed their impression when learning that Gia An 115 Hospital is one of the first hospitals in Vietnam to achieve AACI certification (USA), a pioneer in achieving Diamond certification from the World Stroke Organization (WSO), along with many prestigious domestic and international awards...

Previously, in the panel discussion with the theme "From Vietnam to the world: Building centers of excellence in the field of healthcare in Southeast Asia" on the second day of the HMA 2025 Conference (September 11), Dr. Truong Vinh Long, Deputy Head of the Strategic Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Healthcare Zone, introduced the model of the high-tech healthcare zone. He emphasized that the healthcare zone is continuing to be invested in and developed to become a specialized healthcare cluster, contributing to improving the capacity of healthcare in the country. At the same time, the healthcare zone also aims to provide high-quality healthcare services to attract a large number of international patients, contributing to promoting medical tourism.

HMA 2025 takes place at GEM Center, Ho Chi Minh City from September 10-11. This is a prestigious annual event, bringing together more than 100 speakers from 34 countries and territories along with more than 1,000 hospital leaders and medical experts.

With the theme "Quality, Experience and Leadership in Healthcare: Integrating, Inspiring, and Innovating", this year's conference focused on discussing core principles in hospital management: Patient quality and safety, patient experience and the role of leadership in healthcare system innovation.
