30 students attend the Class II Fishing Boat Captain course

BTO-The Provincial Farmers Support Center coordinated with the Phan Thiet City Farmers' Association and the Southern Agricultural College, Ho Chi Minh City branch, to organize a Class II Fishing Boat Captain class in Mui Ne ward.

Attending the class, 30 trainees were informed about the legal contents related to fishing vessels such as the Fisheries Law 2017 and documents guiding the implementation of the Law, related regulations against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU), overcoming EC recommendations... These are important legal bases, creating motivation for fishermen to comply with fully equipping fishing vessel crew professional certificates according to regulations.

The course aims to help fishermen improve their seafaring skills and legal knowledge in the process of exploiting seafood, contributing to increasing the efficiency of exploitation activities; ensuring safety for people and fishing vessels operating at sea.
