(HTV) - The search for missing victims after a serious landslide in Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province is still being urgently deployed. More than 200 officers, soldiers and people are working day and night, racing against time to find the 3 missing victims.

Difficulties in rescue work in Tuyen Quang

A serious landslide occurred in Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province, leaving 4 people missing. As of October 2, authorities have found 1 victim, but 3 people are still missing.

Rescue work in Tuyen Quang is facing many difficulties. In the first two days, motor vehicles could not access the scene, the entire search work had to be done manually, digging in heavy rain and muddy conditions.

Evacuate and support people in landslide areas

Along with the search for missing victims, Tuyen Quang province has evacuated all households in the landslide area in Ma Lau A village to safe shelters. Support for families with missing people is 5 million VND/household and 3 million VND for households with property damage.

Mr. Vu Seo Din (Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province) shared: "My house is in a high-risk area. Now the Party Committee and the Government have moved us to a safe place with full necessities, so we feel more secure."

Mr. Cu Mi Phu - Head of Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province said: "Heavy rain led to landslides, but thanks to the timely attention of the Government, all the villagers were safely evacuated. I also hope that benefactors can continue to support the affected families in the coming time."
