40 medical facilities in Hai Phong deploy electronic medical records

By early September, Hai Phong city had 40 out of 65 medical facilities with beds implementing electronic medical records.

According to the Hai Phong City Department of Health , by early September, the entire city had 40 medical facilities with beds implementing electronic medical records. Of these, the eastern part of Hai Phong had 18 facilities, and the western part of Hai Phong had 22 facilities.

Among the medical facilities in the east of Hai Phong that have implemented electronic medical records, there are 11 public units, 2 medical units under ministries and 5 private medical units. In the west of Hai Phong, there are 20 public medical facilities, 1 medical unit under ministries and 1 private medical facility. Notably, all 12 medical centers in the west of Hai Phong have completed the implementation of electronic medical records.

The implementation of electronic medical records to replace paper medical records is one of the important solutions to digitize the healthcare sector. Besides facilitating the reduction of administrative procedures, electronic medical records also contribute to the transparency of the medical examination and treatment process, improving the quality and healthcare services.
