40 Vietnamese enterprises participate in technology trade connection

On the afternoon of July 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association (HCA) coordinated with the Taiwan Institute for Information Industry (III) to organize the technology trade connection event "Taiwan Digital Day", aiming to create opportunities for Vietnamese and Taiwanese (China) enterprises to exchange, cooperate and develop advanced technology solutions.

The event was attended by more than 40 businesses in Vietnam and 9 prestigious Taiwanese technology businesses in fields such as: smart cities, smart transportation, cyber security, smart energy, agriculture , e-commerce and digital marketing...

Specifically, Vietnamese businesses will connect 1:1 (B2B Matchmaking) with Taiwanese businesses, focusing on understanding technology needs, proposing pilot models, applying suitable solutions in the domestic market, and discussing the possibility of cooperation in distribution and joint development of solutions in the future.

Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of HCA, shared: “Taiwan Digital Day is not only a bridge for trade but also a testament to the spirit of sustainable cooperation between the Vietnamese and Taiwanese (China) technology business communities. Thereby, it contributes to promoting digital transformation and smart urban development, creating momentum for the development of the digital economy in the region. HCA is committed to continuing to accompany businesses, supporting the promotion of cooperation activities to achieve specific results and bring about practical effectiveness.”

At the event, Mr. Vo Minh Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the digital transformation process in Ho Chi Minh City is not simply about applying digital technology but also aims to create a smart urban model and sustainable development, in which people and businesses are placed at the center of all technology decisions.

“Through this event, I realized that the potential for cooperation between Taiwanese (Chinese) enterprises and Ho Chi Minh City enterprises is huge, not only because of advanced technological capabilities, but also because of the similarities in approaches to urban problems, especially in areas such as energy management, information security, smart transportation, ESG and high-tech agriculture,” Mr. Vo Minh Thanh added.

According to Ms. Vivian Huang, representative of the Taiwan Information Industry Institute (China), Head of the delegation, the Institute always accompanies and is ready to support Vietnamese enterprises in the process of connecting and cooperating closely with the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association, or coordinating the organization of the Taiwan Digital Day program. Ms. Vivian Huang also hopes that through the connecting sessions, many cooperation opportunities will be opened up, promoting the bilateral economic relationship to become increasingly deeper and more sustainable in the future.

In addition to networking activities, the delegation also visited and worked in depth with leading organizations and enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City such as: Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), data centers of CMC Technology Group, VNG Group, Dai Dung Group, Sao Bac Dau Technology Joint Stock Company...
