At 50 years old, Lam Truong admits he is not "rude" enough to play game shows.

At the age of 50, Lam Truong wants to innovate through music and singing, not participating in game shows or reality TV because he is not quick-witted or humorous enough.

Per year, Lam Truong both did some music projects and came back to Vietnam from the US to introduce them to the audience.

Coming up on July 18, he will release a series of MVs. Lam Truong Acoustic Filmed in several European countries such as France, Switzerland... after COVID-19. The MVs all have beautiful scenery and polished music.

On the afternoon of July 15, he met with the press in Ho Chi Minh City to talk about his future plans.

Lam Truong (born in 1974) revealed that he was once invited to participate in Anh trai vu ngan cong gai.

Although he was very grateful to the producer for his wholehearted support, he could not arrange the time.

Regarding the program, he met with the organizers.

At first, everyone thought he was shy so he didn't participate, but when his busy schedule was revealed, everyone understood.

"I recently heard that filming was so tiring that half of the brothers fell ill. Bang Kieu, who sang with me, also had a cough.

That shows how tense it is. But I have to participate with all my heart, not just for the sake of it" - he said sincerely.

Lam Truong currently lives in the US and is in high demand. He has two shows every weekend but has to travel a long distance and has different time zones.

There were days when he woke up at 6am and didn't get to the performance venue until 6pm. He performed from Friday until Monday before coming home.

If he flies from the US to Vietnam, he needs at least a week to recover due to jet lag. That’s not counting the shows in Europe. But every performance is fun and the audience loves it, so he really wants to be there.

In addition, participate reality TV Requiring a humorous, "rude" image will attract audiences and make it more "viral". Many singers who stand out in reality shows are strong in this area.

Regarding this, Lam Truong explained to Tuoi Tre Online : "I'm not as quick-witted as other people.

That is one of the reasons why I hesitate to participate in programs that require me to show a lot of myself. Sometimes there are good programs but they are not suitable for me so I hesitate a lot.

To reach young people, that is not my direction. My innovation is more about new arrangements and changing the way of singing.

Before, I recorded myself. Now I work with producers and young technicians to edit for me. I will reduce my ego, listen to you to create a new image of Lam Truong."

Lam Truong wants to cooperate with SpaceSpeakers

Musician Smelod (Nhat Minh), who collaborated on the project Lam Truong Acoustic, said he understood Lam Truong's feelings.

The musician shared: "I have the opportunity to work with Mr. Truong, Ms. Thu Phuong, and Mr. Quang Dung. They are all monuments but always want to innovate. But with monuments, flexible transformation will be slower."

As a participant in making music for Van Mai Huong, Chi Pu, working with Hua Kim Tuyen..., Smelod has a gen Z composition team trying to make new music for Lam Truong.

The challenge is how to make the music youthful but Lam Truong still feels like himself in it.

During his career, Lam Truong has recorded more than 1,000 songs. He has also received dozens of new songs from young people.

Lam Truong gives an example I'm leaving tomorrow by Le Hieu and producer Touliver is a song he really likes, successfully refreshing Le Hieu's image.

Before, SpaceSpeakers expressed the desire to make a product with him, but Lam Truong kept performing so they didn't have time to do anything together.

"It doesn't need to be as new as Son Tung, but at that level it's appropriate and suitable for my age. That's why I really want to work with young people" - Lam Truong said.
