According to Thanh Nien , at around 2:30 p.m. today, May 13, the police force removed the blockade of the entrances to Thanh Cong neighborhood (Quang Trung Ward) to allow people and vehicles to pass through.

As for the house where the fire occurred, the police still set up a barricade, no one was allowed to enter. According to observations, the first and second floors of the house seemed to have burned down everything, the iron bars above the ceiling were also bent due to the high temperature caused by the fire.

A gloomy and tragic atmosphere enveloped the small neighborhood. People passing by were shocked to hear that the fire had killed a grandmother and three children. It was even more heartbreaking to see that right inside the fence, the pink mini bike for children was still intact, neatly folded by the door, part of the basket was burned.

Earlier, at around 7:45 am today, when discovering fire and smoke rising from a 4-story house in the area, residents living on Thanh Cong Street reported to the authorities to come to the scene to put out the fire and rescue.

People discovered the fire and tried to rescue it but failed.

Upon receiving the information, Hanoi City Police dispatched the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team (PCCC and CNCH) of Ha Dong District Police, and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Region 4 (under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police) to the scene to perform their duties.

At around 8:15 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. According to the Hanoi People’s Committee Office, the fire killed 4 people and injured 1 person.

The four victims were identified as Mrs. NTH (67 years old) and her children NMP (10 years old), NQMĐ (8 years old), NQMH (4 years old). The head of the household, Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh (40 years old), suffered burns on both hands and is being treated at Hospital 103. At the time of the fire, Mr. Minh's wife was at work and was not at home.

After the police lifted the blockade of Thanh Cong street, people gathered in large numbers at the house where the fire occurred.

Most of the items on the first and second floors were burned by the fire.

Many areas were burned black, some iron bars bent due to the hot temperature.

The intact children's mini car makes many people feel sorry.

Dog and cat cages were removed from the scene.

Authorities are still investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.
