Ang Cang commune, Muong Ang district has 18 villages, of which 5 are highland villages, with nearly 8,000 people. With the goal of reaching the new rural destination according to the set roadmap, recently Ang Cang commune has mobilized the entire political system to participate, launching many emulation movements to implement the new rural criteria.
The highlight is that Ang Cang has mobilized social resources and working days of union members and people to build a flower road to the commune center over 1km long. People donated land to build roads, beautifying the rural landscape more and more modern. Coming to Ang Cang today, asphalt and concrete roads with colorful flower carpets replace the previous muddy road, creating new vitality in the countryside. Implementing many solutions to build new rural areas, Ang Cang has basically achieved 15/19 criteria, the economy has gradually developed, and social security and order have been maintained.

To achieve the new rural commune status, Ang Cang needs to continue to strive when 6 basic criteria are met (transportation, cultural facilities, information and communication, housing, labor, environment and food safety), 4 criteria are not met (income, multidimensional poverty, production organization and rural economic development, political system and access to law). Income is a difficult criterion, so the Party Committee and government of Ang Cang commune prioritize implementation. To increase people's income, the commune focuses on providing plant and animal varieties, machinery, agricultural tools... so that people can change their production structure, exploit the potential to form concentrated vegetable growing areas, grow coffee, raise buffaloes, cows, fish in cages...
Muong Ang District Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Dat affirmed that the Party Committee and government of Ang Cang commune need to continue to maintain and consolidate the achieved criteria, focus on directing the implementation of difficult and unachieved criteria; do better in socialization work, mobilize all resources; propagate to raise people's awareness in building new rural areas.
