Doctor sells special ball to raise money for charity medical examinations

VTV.vn - Meritorious Physician, Doctor Nguyen The Luong recently put a special ball up for sale.

This special ball, signed by members of Manchester City football club, is being sold to raise funds for the upcoming charity medical examination trip to Myanmar by Dr. Luong and his colleagues.

According to the doctor, all the money collected will be used to buy medicine, medical supplies and cover expenses for the volunteer team on their journey to examine and treat poor people in the neighboring country. “I hope the ball will find a new owner, someone who not only loves football but also accompanies us on the journey of sharing with disadvantaged patients,” Dr. Luong shared.

The ball is signed by coach Pep Guardiola and many famous players of Manchester City team.

Not only known for his medical activities, Dr. Nguyen The Luong is also the founder of the volunteer group "Following the Doctor's Footsteps" with a journey lasting more than 20 years. Every year, his group makes 3 to 4 trips to provide free medical examinations and treatment in remote areas, bringing medicine, gifts and practical projects such as water supply systems, solar power lines or classrooms for children. On social networks, he often appears with humorous and friendly images and many photos of him with children in the highlands.

For Dr. Luong, each volunteer trip not only brings health to the people, but also brings happiness to the medical professionals themselves. “We get more than we give, because when we see their smiles and happy eyes, we are happier than them,” he once shared.

The sale of the ball signed by the coach and famous Manchester City players this time therefore also has a special meaning: sports and medicine meet in a common goal - taking care of health and supporting those in difficult circumstances in life.
