Director of the Department of Health works with the Loc Ninh and Bu Dop Regional Medical Centers

(DN) - On August 3, the Department of Health's working delegation led by Meritorious Doctor, Specialist II Doctor Do Thi Nguyen, Director of the Department of Health, visited and worked with Loc Ninh Regional Medical Center and Bu Dop Regional Medical Center.

At the working session, the delegation listened to the leaders of the two centers report on the operation situation, human resource organization, facilities, difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing the new model after the merger.

Some of the main difficulties raised by the units are: Limited funding sources, affecting the purchase of equipment, medicines and renovation of facilities; shortage of medical human resources, especially in specialties such as anesthesia and pediatrics; difficulties in accessing and providing health care for people in remote areas...

Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the medical staff at the two units in maintaining medical examination, treatment and health care activities for the people in the past time. The medical facilities have been proactive, flexible and creative in disease prevention and control.

Director of the Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen requested the Loc Ninh and Bu Dop Regional Medical Centers to carry out a number of tasks and solutions: Improve the quality of services at health stations; focus on investing, renovating and fully equipping medical equipment for health stations and health centers; strengthen training and supplement medical human resources, especially in shortage specialties; build cooperation programs and exchange experiences with major hospitals to improve expertise; strengthen disease prevention and community health care at health stations.

Along with that, the leaders of the two Regional Medical Centers of Loc Ninh and Bu Dop are requested to continue promoting the spirit of internal solidarity, proactively reviewing and rearranging job positions in accordance with the professional capacity of staff. In addition, increasing the application of information technology, implementing solutions to improve medical examination and treatment processes to better meet the needs of the people.
