Bamboo Airways 'moves house' to T3 on its 7th birthday

On the morning of August 18, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Bamboo Airways successfully organized an event marking the airline's official launch of domestic flights at T3 - the largest and most modern domestic terminal in the country.

At the event, representatives of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Southern Airport Authority, Border Police and Bamboo Airways Board of Directors participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony, marking the milestone of Bamboo Airways officially operating at Terminal T3, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, witnessed by a large number of customers, partners and agents.

Bamboo Airways Chairman Le Thai Sam said: August 18 is a day of special significance for Bamboo Airways because this is a milestone to celebrate the day the airline officially launched to the public. "We chose August 18, 2025 - the 7th birthday of Bamboo Airways - to officially switch to T3 as a strong affirmation that Bamboo Airways is entering a new age with a spirit of innovation, ready to adapt and will constantly improve and upgrade to bring better services to customers," said Mr. Le Thai Sam.

Bamboo Airways officially operates at Terminal T3, Tan Son Nhat International Airport

Previously, at 00:25 on the morning of August 18, flight number QH283 departed from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, marking the opening flight for Bamboo Airways to officially operate at Terminal T3. Bamboo Airways General Director Truong Phuong Thanh said that thanks to careful preparation in all aspects, close coordination with the airport and related units, the process of converting Bamboo Airways' operating terminal went very smoothly.

On the first morning of operation at T3, all of the airline's flights took off on time. Only 1 passenger mistakenly went to T1 and was quickly assisted by Bamboo Airways' ground staff to move to T3 to complete the journey on time.

According to the General Director of Bamboo Airways, Terminal T3 with its modern appearance, spacious space and the largest scale in the country with luxurious amenities will create favorable conditions for Bamboo Airways to enhance digital transformation and optimize operations. Thereby, further improving the customer experience, as well as contributing to maintaining the top on-time flight rate in the domestic aviation industry that Bamboo Airways has continuously maintained since 2019.

In order to ensure maximum benefits for passengers in the first week of Bamboo Airways' terminal change, the airline has implemented a special ticket exchange policy. Specifically, from August 18 to August 24, passengers who are late for Bamboo Airways flights departing from Terminal T3 due to lack of information, but meet two conditions: being present at T3 within 20 minutes after the departure time printed on the ticket and being confirmed by Bamboo Airways' ground staff, will be supported by the airline to change their tickets for free to the next flight with the same itinerary. In case there are no seats left on the next flight, Bamboo Airways will change the ticket for free and waive the fare difference for passengers to the nearest flight with seats available.
