The Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank summarizes the activities of the first 9 months of 2025

After the province's merger, a new branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) in Ca Mau province was established to continue its smooth and effective operations. In the first 9 months of the year, the Board of Directors of the VBSP has closely followed the directions and directions of the Central Government, local Party committees and authorities, and the Board of Directors of the VBSP at higher levels, focusing on directing the effective implementation of policy credit programs.

By September 30, the total capital reached over VND 8,273 billion, an increase of over VND 578 billion, an increase of 6.79% compared to 2024. Debt collection turnover reached over VND 1,116 billion, loan turnover reached over VND 1,631 billion, with 37,711 poor households and other policy beneficiaries receiving loans. Thereby, contributing to continuing to implement the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, stabilizing political security, building new rural areas, and model new rural areas of the province.

Total outstanding debt of policy credit programs reached over VND8,242 billion, with 230,614 borrowing households still in debt; the average outstanding debt in the whole province is VND36 million/household.

The branch has completed the first phase of bad debt settlement in 2025, with 5,588 items, amounting to VND 99.1 billion.

Up to now, the policy credit capital has helped 230,614 households to borrow capital, with an amount of over VND 8,242 billion, helping 37,711 poor households and other policy beneficiaries to borrow capital. The total outstanding loan balance entrusted through the Association organizations has reached over VND 8,210 billion, accounting for 99.64% of the total outstanding loan balance of the branch, with 229,788 outstanding customers.

Delegates discuss at the conference

In addition to the advantages and achievements, policy credit activities in the area still face some difficulties and obstacles. The conference proposed and recommended many solutions for effective implementation in the coming time; in which, delegates said that it is necessary to focus on coordination between the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and provincial departments, branches and sectors; associations and unions; People's Committees of communes and wards to propagate credit policies to the people, in order to exploit and make maximum use of loan capital, as well as to the right borrowers.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang said: The 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, identified one of the important targets of the province during the term as poverty reduction, job creation and good implementation of social security policies; in which, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies is one of the main pillars to realize this goal, playing an important role in the People's credit policy, receiving attention and high expectations from the Party and State.

Based on the results achieved in the first 9 months of the year, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang requested the VBSP Ca Mau Branch to continue reviewing the directive documents of the two former provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu on implementing Directive No. 39 of the Secretariat to advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee to implement appropriately. Coordinate with departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval the Project on capital sources entrusted to the VBSP in 2025 and the period 2026 - 2030 in the province. Advise the Provincial People's Committee to promulgate regulations on management and use of local budget capital entrusted through the VBSP to lend to the poor and other policy beneficiaries in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang noted that members of the Provincial People's Credit Fund's Board of Directors should improve the apparatus from the province to the grassroots level. Improve the efficiency of the bad debt collection team at the commune level; carry out transactions at the commune level well to ensure efficiency and safety. Socio-political organizations are entrusted to propagate the preferential credit policies of the Government and the Prime Minister to all classes of people; propagate the Government's lending policies as well as debt repayment obligations according to regulations; strictly implement loan evaluation; check and supervise before, during and after lending; strengthen the work of collecting overdue debts.

Individuals with achievements contributing to the activities of the social policy sector received honors from the General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

At the conference, the General Director of the Social Policy Bank announced the decision to honor 93 members of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank for their many achievements and contributions to the activities of the social policy sector.
