Handing over and putting into use the 6-storey technical building of Simacai Regional General Hospital

The Department of Health, in coordination with the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and Si Ma Cai Regional General Hospital, has just organized the acceptance, handover and put into use the 6-storey technical building of Si Ma Cai Regional General Hospital.

The Si Ma Cai Regional General Hospital construction investment project, invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, started construction in January 2024 with a total investment of 85 billion VND.

The scale of the project includes the following buildings: 6-storey technical department; anti-infection department; infectious disease department; fire prevention and fighting system; exterior and auxiliary items... designed to be modern, convenient, and meet functional needs.

The inspection team handed over the departments to the hospital.

The results of the inspection and testing of the constructed works are in accordance with the approved design and are operating normally. The Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has handed over to the Board of Directors, departments and rooms of the hospital for use.

Simacai Regional General Hospital is a class II hospital with 20 departments, functional and specialized rooms.

In the first 6 months of 2025, 13,075 patients were examined; bed occupancy rate reached 106%. In particular, new equipment has been invested in and effectively used such as: Digestive endoscopy system, anesthesia machine with ventilator, respiratory function measuring machine...

The 6-storey technical building was handed over and put into use, not only satisfying the expectations of hospital staff but also meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of people in the area.
