This is a journey connecting the present and the past, between the living and the fallen, through memories, images, sounds and sacred emotions.
From the trenches echoes forever - where history speaks
The space of Forever Echoes from the Trenches opens with documentary footage in Untold Things , taking viewers back to the time of war.
Images of Uncle Ho's soldiers fighting their way through the battlefield, wounded soldiers struggling to get up from their unhealed wounds, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers with pained eyes seeing their children off to battle, all appear realistically through the accounts of witnesses.
Memories are recreated not by numbers, but by the breath of the times, by the pain deep in the heart and by the deeply engraved things that independence must be exchanged for sacrifice.
Those memories come alive through authentic, moving footage and emotional stories from historical witnesses.
Soldier's Footprints - an epic from the battlefield to peacetime
Next is the Soldier's Footprints space, where artifacts soaked in sweat, blood and tears are gathered. From a worn backpack, a faded medal, to a diary entry on a piece of time-worn paper, each memento records a tragic time.
That is the story of young soldier Nguyen Van Thieng (alias Tran Thanh) hugging a three-pronged bomb, a symbol of the spirit of "Determination to die for the Fatherland".
Captain Tran Cu burned the Dong Khe flame forever; Vo Thi Sau, the daughter of Dat Do, stood tall in the execution ground; soldier Be Van Dan used his body as a gun mount.
It is the spirit of the young man Nguyen Van Troi with his indomitable cry that echoes forever; it is the slogan engraved in history by Nguyen Viet Xuan: "Aim straight at the enemy - shoot!".
It was the silent sacrifice of engineer Hoang Kim Giao, a brave bomb disposal soldier of the Vietnam People's Army; it was the last air battle of pilot Vu Xuan Thieu, the "third missile" that entered the legend...
This space not only preserves the war legacy, but also reflects the spirit of the post-war period, where wounded and sick soldiers live with extraordinary determination, where gratitude programs are spread, and where the home front still quietly perseveres.
Those stories do not have the appearance of distant legends, but exist in everyday life, like a warm fire in the middle of the night.
Continuing the epic - from gratitude to action
Closing the program is the space of Continuing the Epic , where emotions are condensed into words. Here, visitors are invited to write words of gratitude on the “gratitude tree”, a living symbol of tradition and continuity.
The handwritten lines and small letters, but containing great gratitude, created a “forest of emotions”. Revolutionary music resounded, blending with the solemn atmosphere, as if reminding us that today’s peace is a privilege that the previous generation exchanged with their lives.
The museum encourages the public to share their feelings, images, and stories about the program on social networks through hashtags such as: #Kyuc27thang7, #Bietonanhhunglietsi, #BaotangLichsuQuansuVietNam. That is how traditional values continue to spread in the language of the times.
History to be recorded, lived with and written about
The history of Vietnam is a history of patriotism, of the desire for independence, of dedication to the cause of justice. The soldiers who have remained in the bosom of the motherland, the wounded who are overcoming their pain day by day, the mothers who have sent their children away but could not welcome them home, they do not ask for honor, do not expect gratitude.
But they need to be remembered with sincere gratitude, with daily acts of kindness, and with a spirit of living responsibly for the future.
We, the generation of today, are the ones who continue to write that epic. Not with guns and bullets, but with knowledge, kindness, compassion and dedication. Let us live in a way that is worthy of the sacrifices of those who have gone before us, so that the dream of independence of those who have fallen is not only fulfilled, but also continues brilliantly through each generation.
