Regarding the case of the national treasure of the Nguyen Dynasty throne being violated, responding to a reporter from VTC News Electronic Newspaper, the leader of the Hue City People's Committee Office confirmed that after the incident, the City People's Committee directed the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to organize a meeting, review responsibilities, draw lessons and discipline the individuals involved.

Specifically, Mr. Dang Quang Long and Dao Hoang Vu (security guards at Thai Hoa Palace on May 24) were disciplined and dismissed. Mr. Cao Van Ngoc (Team Leader) and Le Thanh Phuc (Deputy Team Leader) - Security Team of Thai Hoa Palace, Ta Huu Vu and Dien Kien Trung (in Hue Imperial City) were disciplined with a reprimand.

The Director and 3 Deputy Directors and the entire staff of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center were deeply criticized and learned from experience before the leaders of the Hue City People's Committee. The People's Committee of Hue City also directed the City Police to coordinate with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to investigate and verify the violations of Ho Van Phuong Tam - the person who vandalized the Nguyen Dynasty throne, for handling.

The Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee also signed a decision to establish a Council to assess the status and propose a plan to preserve and restore the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty Throne.

Promote the application of new technology and artificial intelligence in monitoring management such as: early warning sensor systems, virtual fences, security monitoring systems... to ensure that national treasures are placed in special preservation regimes according to the instructions of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the afternoon of May 24, Ho Van Phuong Tam (born in 1983, residing at group 7, area 4, Huong Long ward, Phu Xuan district, Hue city) sneaked in to destroy the national treasure, the Nguyen dynasty throne. Tam broke the left armrest of the throne and smashed it, breaking it into many pieces.
Hue City Police Department has initiated a case, prosecuted the defendant and issued a 3-month temporary detention order for Ho Van Phuong Tam.
