Barca's financial situation is dire.

According to AS , the team's total debt has exceeded 4 billion euros, pushing the Catalan giant to the brink of bankruptcy, lacking liquidity and facing financial obligations that are difficult to meet in the short and long term.

Barca's current debt structure includes more than €2 billion in debt incurred from the club's regular operations, plus a €1.5 billion loan from Goldman Sachs a few years ago to renovate the Camp Nou stadium. Barcelona owes another €500 million due to unpaid payments to suppliers, bonuses, delayed player wages and transfer fees.

Despite their dire financial situation, Barcelona continue to sign players, register players and compete as if nothing is happening. This creates a puzzling paradox, which can only be explained by the silence and tacit support from football governing bodies such as La Liga and UEFA.

These bodies should be closely monitoring compliance with financial fair play regulations, but appear to have tolerated Barcelona's situation.

Barcelona is currently only able to survive thanks to external funding and complex financial leverage. With total debt exceeding its market value and on the verge of bankruptcy, Barcelona faces a challenging future.
