Construction to open Phoenix tunnel of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project begins from March 2024

According to Mr. Duong Dinh Manh - Director of the Executive Board of Package 1 of Component Project 2 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project Phase 1, construction of the opening of the Phuong Hoang tunnel will begin in March 2024.

The working delegation of the Provincial Standing Committee visited and presented Tet gifts to the construction unit at the tunnel construction site.

At the same time, the goal is to dig the Phoenix tunnel in April 2025; complete the construction of this tunnel in June 2026; complete the bridge and route works in October 2026 and complete the entire package in December 2026 (6 months ahead of schedule, the contract term is June 2027).

Phuong Hoang Tunnel belongs to Package 1 of Component Project 2, with a length of 1.7 km - this is an important item affecting the progress of the entire Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project.

Mr. Duong Dinh Manh - Director of the Executive Board of Package 1, Component Project 2 informed about the project implementation status.

Package 1 of Component Project 2 has a total length of 11 km (from Km32+000 to Km43+000) including Phoenix Tunnel (Km32+146 – Km33+900), 10 bridges on the route, 5.6 km of roads and works on the route; total investment of 3,083 billion VND (including Phoenix Tunnel 1,438 billion, 10 bridges 983 billion; 5.6 km of roads and works on the route 485 billion).

Package No. 1 is invested by Project Management Board 6 ( Ministry of Transport ), the joint venture of Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company is the construction contractor. Currently, the site has been handed over 9.6/11 km, reaching 91%, of which the accessible construction site is 4 km.

It is known that Component Project 2 has a total length of nearly 37 km, passing through Ninh Hoa town (Khanh Hoa province) and 3 districts of Dak Lak province including M'Drak, Ea Kar and Krong Bong.
