On the morning of August 31, hundreds of thousands of people flocked to the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi , to visit the exhibition of the country's 80-year achievements.
According to Tuoi Tre Online , from early morning, many people from everywhere gathered at the exhibition center area, causing a long traffic jam on Hoang Sa street from Dong Tru bridge to Vo Chi Cong street in both directions.
By noon and early afternoon, the number of people pouring in here was still unceasing, causing this route to be almost paralyzed in both directions. Many people had to walk to cross the street to the exhibition center, and many cars were even parked on the street and sidewalk because they could not move.
Authorities including police, traffic police, and security guards were deployed at intersections to regulate traffic, but the flow of people only moved a little at a time.
"It's quite inconvenient because of the traffic, but when you get here it's worth it because you get to admire the tremendous achievements of our country's development," Mr. Hung shared.
Mr. Nguyen Hung (Hoang Mai, Hanoi) said that he and his family came here at 6:30 but it took nearly 3 hours to get to the exhibition area.

Le Huyen Anh (Tu Son, Bac Ninh ) said that although she knew there would be traffic jams, she did not expect it to be so crowded today.
"I took a taxi to Dong Tru bridge but couldn't go any further. I had to get off the bus and hire a motorbike taxi to go the remaining 3km to the exhibition center.
But it was worth the effort to come here, when I saw that my country had developed beyond my imagination, especially in areas such as national defense and science and technology," Huyen Anh shared.
It was noted that inside the exhibition areas, both outdoors and indoors, were packed with visitors.

This is the largest exhibition ever, with the full participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with more than 230 booths.
According to information from the organizers, the exhibition will be held from August 28 to September 5.
