On September 25 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Efficiency Association (VECEA) to organize the launching ceremony of the "Energy Efficiency Award in Industry and Construction in 2025; Award for the Most Energy-Efficient Product in 2025."

The Energy Efficiency Awards are held annually to recognize and honor businesses operating in the industrial production sector and typical construction projects in implementing energy-saving and efficient solutions. The Awards also promote and encourage businesses to implement advanced management and technology solutions to bring to market products with outstanding technical features, high energy efficiency and energy saving.

The awards are expected to contribute to the target of achieving energy savings of 8-10% in the period from 2019 to 2030 of the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy in the period 2019-2030.

The new point of the 2025 award is that the Organizing Committee added the award category of Innovative and Creative Energy Efficiency Technology Solutions to the structure of the 2025 Highest Energy Efficiency Product Award. The addition of the award category of Innovative and Creative Energy Efficiency Technology Solutions in 2025 is an important content to strongly promote science, technology, innovation and digital transformation activities in enterprises, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Through surveys and practical assessments, the Vietnamese industrial sector can save from 20 to 30% of energy consumption. For construction works, with an annual increase in floor area put into use of over 40%, the potential for energy saving in construction works in Vietnam is estimated from 30 to 35%. The above figures show that the room for energy saving in all fields is still very large.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also organized a conference on "Disseminating policies and laws on economical and efficient use of energy, and response to climate change."
