Ministry of Education and Training proposes to soon announce the third exam subject for grade 10

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training organize the selection and early announcement of the third subject or test of the 10th grade entrance exam according to regulations to facilitate students in completing the program, reviewing, and preparing well for the exam.

On the evening of January 10, information from the Ministry of Education and Training said that on the same day, the Ministry sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Education and Training regarding the selection and announcement of the third exam subject and guidance on admission criteria for junior high school and high school admissions.

According to the document, in order to effectively carry out the enrollment work from the 2024-2025 school year according to the new regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training requests the Departments of Education and Training to organize the selection and early announcement of the third subject or exam of the 10th grade entrance exam according to regulations to facilitate students in studying, completing the program and reviewing, preparing well for the conditions, creating a mentality of readiness to take the exam and achieving good results.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requested that the Departments of Education and Training urgently develop and publish principles and criteria for admission to grade 6 of junior high school in accordance with local conditions so that students, parents, teachers and schools can clearly understand and be proactive in enrollment work.

For schools with a number of students registering for admission exceeding the school's assigned quota, the Department of Education and Training guides schools to conduct student capacity assessment in various forms (as prescribed in the student assessment regulations) such as: question-answer, writing, presentation, practice, experiment, etc. to ensure that enrollment is carried out fairly, publicly, transparently, and in accordance with practical conditions.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training promptly implement this. During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or problems, they should be reported to the Ministry of Education and Training (through the Department of Secondary Education ) for coordination and resolution.
