The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment gives water tanks and disinfectant tablets to support people in the flood-hit area of ​​Tuong Duong.

On the afternoon of August 2, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to donate 100 water tanks, 100 hygiene packages and 30,000 Aquatab disinfectant tablets to 100 households severely affected by floods in Tuong Duong commune, Nghe An province.

Attending the gift giving ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luan - Director of the National Center for Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ; On behalf of Tuong Duong commune, there were comrades: Le Van Luong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary; Luong Thi Nhung, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee; and many people from villages that suffered damage due to floods.

This is one of the emergency support activities to help people stabilize their lives soon, especially ensuring clean water and environmental sanitation needs after natural disasters.

At the program, each household received a 500-liter water tank, a household hygiene package, and 300 Aquatab tablets, a disinfectant tablet that can treat domestic water, helping to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after floods. Professional staff directly instructed people on how to install the tank, use the disinfectant tablet in the correct dosage, and safely preserve water in muddy, humid environments.

The timely intervention of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the United Nations Children's Fund contributed to reducing the risk of water pollution and protecting public health, especially children and the elderly, after natural disasters.

It is known that on this occasion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in coordination with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) also organized the donation of water tanks, hygiene packages and disinfectant tablets to people in Nhon Mai commune; My Ly commune; Huu Kiem commune; and Muong Xen commune to help people reduce water pollution, prevent post-flood epidemics, and soon stabilize their lives.
