On the evening of June 17, the Food Safety Department advised people not to use the health protection food Hai Be Delicious Appetizer Syrup.

According to the Department of Food Safety, information on the website of Ninh Binh Provincial Police, the Investigation Police Agency of Ninh Binh Provincial Police ( Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police) has issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case, a decision to prosecute the accused against Tran Dai Phuc - director of Hai Be Company Limited (address in Thanh Tay village, Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh) and Le Van Hai (owner of the TikTok social network account "Gia Dinh Hai Sen") - co-founder of the company.

According to Ninh Binh Provincial Police, the appraisal results for the quality indicators of the health protection food Hai Be Delicious Syrup - a product announced by Hai Be Company Limited and responsible for the product quality determined that the substances including vitamin A, calcium, vitamin C (main ingredients that create the product's effects) only reached less than 70% compared to the announcement.

Therefore, the above two individuals were prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency of Ninh Binh Provincial Police according to regulations.

The Department said that the health protection food product Hai Be Delicious Syrup has been granted a product declaration registration certificate No. 1121/2024/DKSP dated January 30, 2024 and an advertising content confirmation certificate dated June 7, 2024 for Hai Be Company Limited (address in Thanh Tay village, Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh) by the Department of Food Safety.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , through inspection, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that from 2024 to now, this company has sold more than 800,000 products through TikTok Shop, Facebook, Shopee channels under the names "Gia Dinh Hai Sen", "Hai Sen". The "Hai Be Delicious Syrup" product alone has sold over 100,000 boxes.

According to research, the prices of Hai Sen products range from 100,000 to 400,000 VND, labeled as "personal brands" such as deodorant spray, hair removal cream, exfoliant, YLE facial cleanser, and especially syrups and pills for children and women.

For example, Hai Sen deodorant for armpits and feet costs 100,000 VND, 30ml is 199,000 VND; Hai Sen hair removal cream costs 250,000 VND; Hai Be delicious syrup costs 200,000 VND;... Many products have recorded tens of thousands of sales on an e-commerce platform.
