Chinese women's volleyball team lost miserably and was eliminated early from the world tournament.

On the evening of August 31, in the round of 16 of the Women's Volleyball World Championship, the Chinese team was eliminated after a weak defeat against France.

For many years, the Chinese women's volleyball team has never had to fear France. At the Volleyball Nations League last June, the Asian representative won easily 3-0.

But in the match on the evening of August 31, the match's developments caused many surprises. A French team that was considered weaker played overwhelmingly and strongly for most of the time. Even at times when they were behind, this team still rose strongly to make China confused.

In set 1, the French team won 25-20 thanks to their persistent defense.

Their offense also played extremely well, with captain Cazaute being the standout. Her versatile scoring ability and her blocker smashes caused a lot of trouble for the Chinese blockers.

In the second set, Cazaute continued to be the inspiration for the French team. The Chinese women's volleyball team thought they had won the set when they led 24-22 and then 25-24. However, France successfully saved all 3 set points to come back and win 27-25.

China could only gain an advantage in the third set when Cazaute was tired and the French setters did not play well. The Asian representative equalized this set with a score of 25-22.

But things were back to normal in set four when Cazaute returned to the court. This time, his two opposite sets, Ndiaye and Rota, provided great support for their captain, helping France win 25-20 and take the overall victory 3-1.

From being highly rated, the Chinese women's volleyball team had to accept a humiliating defeat, leaving the World Championship early. Meanwhile, the French team won the right to enter the quarterfinals of the tournament.
